‘straight’ 는 스툴로서 기능하기 위한 최소한의 구조와 간결한 선에 집중했습니다.

가구가 가져야 할 강성을 확보하면서도 어느 공간에든 조화로울수 있는 간소함을 표현 하는데 목표을 두었습니다.

그 간결함에는 제작 과정까지 포함시키려 노력했습니다.

다리를 관통하여 정직하게 드러난 장부는 구조 결합의 완결성을 시각적으로 보여주려 했습니다.

자칫 딱딱하게만 느껴질 수 있는 곧은 외형을 메이플의 따뜻한 색조와 특유의 유려한 무늬결이 중쇄하며 시각적인 밸런스를 찾아줍니다.

그런 의미에서 오래도록 밝은 색감이 보존되는 화이트오일로 마감이 되었습니다.

장식을 덧붙이지 않은 정갈한 실루엣은 어떤 공간에서든 묵묵히 제 역할을 수행합니다.

가장 직관적인 형태가 주는 솔리드함을 가진 ‘Straight’는 능히 사용가능한 오브제로서 그 이름 처럼 정직하고 무던한 신뢰를 위해 디자인되었습니다.

‘Straight’ focuses on the minimal structure and lines necessary to function as a stool.

The objective was to express a simplicity that harmonizes with any space while ensuring the structural rigidity required for furniture. I also sought to reflect this conciseness in the manufacturing process itself. The through-tenons, honestly exposed through the legs, are intended to visually demonstrate the integrity of the structural joinery.

The straight exterior, which could feel rigid, finds its visual balance through the soft tones and fluid grain of the maple wood. To preserve this bright coloration over time, the piece is finished with white oil. With its clean silhouette and lack of ornamentation, it silently fulfills its role in any environment.

Possessing the solidity of an intuitive form, ‘Straight’ is designed for honest and unassuming reliability—whether used as a functional seat or an object of display.
